P Sheshadri’s National award record
January 28th, 2010 - 5:32 pm ICT by Sampurn WireDirector P Sheshadri is starting to become a role model of sorts for other Kannada directors. Why’s that?
He is the only director to have won 5 National awards so far and has become a record holder in the Kannada industry. His film, Vimukthi got him his 5th National award recently.
On receiving the award, the director spoke about how difficult it was to get a producer to back films that deal with contemporary and modern issues. He added that for that reason he has had to finance his own films.
