Earlier, the band comprised of four other band members namely David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, and Paul William but the line-up remained constant only till 1968. However, over its journey of so many years the band witnessed enormous success with a number of chart topping hits such as ” My Girl”, “The Way You Do The Things You do”, “Just My Imagination”, “Ain’t To Proud To Beg” that have been immensely popular all these years. Especially the song “My girl”, which became the bands signature track and shot the band to instant fame.

However, the singer is still going strong with music consuming all his time and plans of retirement are hardly on his mind. He is planning to release his latest album titled “The Temptations: Still Here” which is scheduled to release some time around next year.
