Oscars 2010: 82nd Academy Awards to be hosted by Alec Baldwin & Steve Martin, can be watched live here

2010 Oscar Los Angeles, Mar 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The prestigious 82nd Academy Awards are going to be hosted by actors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Steve Martin is going to be the host of the show for the 3rd time, as he had already hosted the 73rd and the 75th Academy Award ceremonies. Whereas for the Oscar-nominee Alec Baldwin, it is his debut as the host of the Academy Award ceremony. When he was confirmed as the host of the Oscars then he said that, “I don’t play the banjo but I’m thrilled to be hosting the Oscars - it’s the opportunity of a lifetime.”

And actor Steve Martin reacted that he was “happy to co-host the Oscars with [his] enemy Alec Baldwin,” when he was announced as the co-host of the 2010 Award ceremony. He has already hosted the Oscars twice before, in 2001 and 2003.

The 82nd Academy Awards, popularly known as the ‘Oscars’ are going to be held at the Kodak Theater. A huge lineup of all the top-notch stars is expected at the Award ceremony and most of them have already graced the red carpet at the event.
