The Los Angeles Police Department has revealed that the two unidentified female friends of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor, who were also travelling with him, got injured in the accident that took place at around 2:15 am in Hollywood.

Bloom was driving a 2003 black Toyota Matrix when he was cut off by another driver.

In order to avoid the opposing motorist, Bloom swerved and ended up bumping into a parked Porsche Cayenne on the side of the street.

The police department said that there was no speeding, acohol or drugs involved in the incident, which left both vehicles with minor damages.

Robin Baum, a publicist for Bloom, said that the actor was “grateful that no one was seriously injured.”

While the 30-year-old woman who was sitting in the front passenger seat suffered a cut to her neck from the seatbelt, the 35-year-old female in the back seat suffered a fractured neck.

Both women were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, accompanied by Bloom.

“He spent last night at the hospital to be with his childhood friend who sustained a minor neck injury. He is thankful that emergency services arrived so quickly and that the ER staff at Cedars-Sinai took such good care of his friend,” E!online quoted Baum as saying.

Meanwhile, the man whose car was reportedly struck by Bloom is demanding that the actor apologise and compensate for the loss suffered by him.

“Orlando was just running away from the paparazzi. He didn’t say a word to me. The damage is pretty bad. Looks like it’s going to be at least 7,000 or 8,000 dollars. I have his phone number. He’s going to pay for my car,” Mark Ivanko told In Touch. (ANI)
