London, Dec 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The British actor Orlando Bloom is engaged to his long-time girlfriend Miranda Kerr. The model Miranda Kerr’s brother Mathew revealed this to the media. He said that Orlando Bloom proposed to Miranda during a Morocco vacation. He himself is quite happy with the news and says that the couple-in-love is getting married soon.

Orlando Bloom who gained fame with his role in ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ has been dating the Australian Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr since late 2007. They have denied marriage rumors in the past too.

However last months there were rumors that the couple had hit a rough patch. There were also claims that Orlando Bloom was more than friends with his co-star Jennifer Aniston. But both the stars in question, denied the claims out-right.

Orlando Bloom was born in Canterbury, Kent, England. His mother is Sonia Constance Josephine and his father is Colin Stone, who was his mother’s partner and family friend. Orlando was kept in the dark about his father for a long time. The truth was revealed to him when he was 13 years old and then Colin Stone, who is the principal of the Concorde International language school, was made his legal guardian too. He has one sister named Samantha Bloom.
