Oprah Ultimate Favorite Things ShowNov 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The entire nation was waiting with bated breathe, as Oprah Winfrey was about to declare a few more of her favorite things in the second and the last part of “Oprah’s Ultimate Favorite Things Show”. The last episode was filled with some of the most amazing lifestyle goods. This time however, she shifted her attention to the audiences.

The talk show host invited 300 guests in the studio, each of whom were given with some or the other gifts, which Oprah Winfrey considers to be her ‘favorite things’. A few amongst these are, iPad, with scrabble application, Le Creuset cookware, Talbott Teas holiday assortment, chicken pot pie from Centerville Pie Company, diamond earrings, a jewelry box from Pottery Barn. However, the ultimate thing in the list was a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle which is due for delivery May 2011. Although the general public are still not allowed to see except a silhouette line of the car, a spy photographer Brenda Priddy, gave a clue about its new look in the show. One of the lucky winners of this car was Muttville, which is an organization that works for the right of old dogs, rescues them and prepare them for adoption. So far, they have rescued more than 800 dogs, although the organization is three years old. This car, which they received, will be customized for them when it would be released, as it would be painted with the Muttville logo.

The good part about this show was that, it only increased the television rating and ever growing popularity of Oprah Winfrey, but also boosted the business of several organizations. Some of these business houses faced heavy load on their websites, right after the show. The large number of orders placed for certain products, made these business houses unable to meet many people’s demands. Now is that what is known as corporate social service?
