Oprah’s Favorite Things 2010 comes to an end

Los Angeles, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Friday marked the day of the final episode of Oprah’s Favorite Things of 2010 which was shown on TV and the queen of talk shows picked heroes as her preferred choice of people to award. The heroes were made up of people who were randomly picked from the audience throughout locations in the US who had made special contributions to society through their various selfless efforts. Oprah decided to reward them for their efforts and her entry onto the show was met with huge cheers from the audience.

There was a performance from the music group Black Eyed Peas and after that Oprah’s presents were displayed to the whole crowd. Presents included limited edition watches designed by Philip Stein, which costs $2,475 and contained 58 handset diamonds in them. Recipients of the awards will also get access to a 7 day cruise on Royal Carribeans’s Allure of the Seas ship, Sony Bravia 3D 52 inch TV, Nikon digital SLR camera which costs $700, etc.

Recipients were also given Ralph Lauren Cashmere sweaters, Judith Ripka eclipse earrings in addition to shampoo and hair products by Andre Walker, who is Oprah’s personal stylist. Food and other items were also made available to complete a list of over 20 items.
