Oprah’s Employees Receive $10,000 And An Ipad

June 18, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Oprah’s staff had the happiest day of their professional lives yesterday. The host of the popular ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ was celebrating the 10th anniversary of her flagship magazine ‘O’. On the occasion, all the employees of the magazine received $10,000 and an iPad regardless of the tenure of their service.
Oprah is known for her various charitable works. She keeps on gifting her employees with anything from $6,000 Mediterranean cruises to cash and fancy cars. Her employee incentives have no limit as she owns an estimated near $2.3 Billion.
Her spokesperson said that she chose the 10th anniversary as the right time for rewarding her employees. The spokesman added, “Oprah Winfrey surprised the staff of O with her way of showing appreciation for their work. She wanted to commemorate the anniversary by presenting them a with a check of $10,000 and an iPad.”
Oprah, who is famous as the most popular woman in the world, is going to end ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ after a successful journey of 25 years. She is more interested in focussing on her own network, OWN and the charitable work.
In the meantime, Winfrey has started hunting for a new TV host to anchor a new show, which is likely to go on air on her television network. For the show, Oprah has tied up with the reality TV producer Mark Burnett. The show will start telecasting in January as soon as OWN, The Oprah Winfrey Network goes on air.
Well now after this great reward, there will be millions, who would like to have a boss like Oprah!
