Oprah Winfrey was turned down for Doubt role

Washington, Jan 14 (ANI): Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has revealed that the director of Doubt turned her down for a role in the film.

While chatting with Doubt actress Meryl Streep on her talk show, Oprah revealed that she was keen to act with her in the flick but John Patrick Shanley didnt find her suitable.

Billionaire Oprah auditioned for the role of Mrs. Miller, who breaks down after hearing her son may have been molested by a priest, reports US Weekly.

The role eventually went to Viola Davis, who was later nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe. (ANI)
