Oprah Winfrey Visits Yosemite National Park

Oprah WinfreyOct 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “The Oprah Winfrey Show” fans were waiting with their bated breath to see their favorite episode and last night’s episode did not disappoint them. Last night’s show featured Oprah Winfrey’s camping trip to Yosemite National Park with her best friend Gayle King. It seems that that the talk show host was nor satisfied with her trip and hence at the end of the show she said that she would never “do that again”.

A reputed media source reported that Oprah Winfrey paid her visit on the request of a park ranger who noticed that the African American people do not visit Yosemite National Park that much. Ranger Shelton Johnson reportedly send a letter to the media mogul back in 2004 and had been requesting her for last six years to shed a light at the National Park. The video clip of her visit to Yosemite National Park showed Oprah Winfrey cooking food, fishing and enjoying her time at the park. A reputed media source reported that on night’s camping in Yosemite National Park costs around $5 and $20 and it is far cry from the luxuries the richest African American and her friend are accustomed to.

Oprah Winfrey announced at the end of the show that the second installment of their camping adventure will be aired on November 3. However, the park rangers were really happy as she kept her words and made visit at the Yosemite National Park. Shelton Johnson in his interview to a reputed media source said that Oprah Winfrey not only responded to her letter but also visited the place he requested him to visit. Park ranger Scott Gediman was impressed with Oprah Winfrey’s down to earth attitude. He said that the talk show host was playing music and having a good time in the park with others.
