oprah biography New York, Apr 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For the first time, Oprah Winfrey made comments about Kitty Kelley’s controversial biography, which shows her in a different light, than what she otherwise claims. Oprah was speaking at the ‘New York Women in Communications’ annual Matrix Awards’ luncheon in on Monday. She also presented an award to Gayle King there. She revealed that she is very close to Gayle, and sometimes when there is anything negative written about Oprah, then Gayle becomes more upset on reading it, than Oprah herself.

Oprah said that, “Last week was a rough week for Gayle when a so-called biography came out. Every day she’s getting herself more and more worked up about all of my new daddies that are now showing up. New daddies who are saying, ‘Hello daughter, call me, I need a new roof.’” The crowd was in splits, and then Oprah Winfrey added on a philosophical note that, “Well, this too shall pass.”

In the biography, Kitty Kelley had claimed that she knows about Oprah Winfrey’s biological father. In an interview with Natalie Morales, Kitty said that while doing research for the book, she interviewed 850 people, and amongst them one of Oprah’s relative’s Katharine Carr Esters helped her a lot, and disclosed a lot of secrets about Oprah. Esters told Kelley that it is widely believed that Winfrey’s father is Vernon Winfrey, but he is not her biological father. When Natalie asked her to reveal the name, then Kitty Kelley refused to name him.
