Washington DC, April 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop Eater has reported that Oprah Winfrey would not publicly support Barack Obama in 2012 as she did in 2008. The report however said the talk-show icon would still lend her support for the President’s bid for re-election.

The report quoted a source close to Oprah as saying that, “For 2012, much has changed for Oprah. She now has own cable channel called OWN that has been struggling to find an audience — she isn’t going to do anything to alienate them Helping a friend keep the most important job in the world is great, but making sure her OWN network thrives is now her priority.”

Oprah was very influential in getting President Barack Obama elected in 2008. Oprah followed Obama’s campaign closely and donated to it as well.

Oprah Winfrey launched her own network in the beginning of the year. The network is struggling to get audience despite the huge success that Oprah has enjoyed over the years. She is currently working on her last season of the Oprah Winfrey Show. She is expected to fully concentrate on her OWN network after leaving the show.
