Oliver Stone plans ‘Memphis’ movie
May 13th, 2010 - 4:02 pm ICT by IANSNew York, May 13 (IANS) Filmmaker Oliver Stone is planning to bring Broadway musical “Memphis” to the big screen.
The director is said to be a big fan of the play about a rock ‘n roll-loving disc-jockey in 1950s Memphis, Tennessee, co-written by Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan.
“He saw it two times in a week. He’s also taken a number of meetings with David Bryan,” nypost.com quoted a source as saying.
A representative for Stone confirmed it saying: “He’s thinking about it.”
