Oksana hires a former prosecutor for her case.

August 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Oksana Grigorieva the estranged ex-girlfriend of Mel Gibson has hired a former Assistant United States Attorney and ABC News correspondent to represent her in the legal war. Mary Fulginiti is a former federal prosecutor and she has also worked with ABC covering stories on domestic abuse for the show “20/20″. Fulginiti will be representing Oksana in Domestic violence investigation against Mel Gibson. According to reports Fulginiti will defend Oksana from the extortion charges filed by Mel’s Lawyers too.
Reports suggest that Fulginiti will be partnering with attorney James Spertus to handle the cases and provide legal support. Fulginiti and Spertus go a long way back as they have worked together in the U.S Attorney’s office in Los Angeles. Fulginiti is a star in her own right; apart from being a former ABC Reporter she has also made appearances in talk shows like “Larry King Live”. Previously it was thought, Spertus was Oksana’s first choice, but later it was revealed Oksana came to Fulginiti, who referred Spertus. Fulginiti will also represent Oksana in the ongoing custody battle with Gibson.
Fulginiti has worked on domestic violence cases before and she is likely to understand the plight of women going through the trauma.
