Los Angeles, Apr 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Oksana Grigorieva the Russian girlfriend of actor director Mel Gibson has split from the star according to reports. Some popular media sources claim that the couple split few months ago. A friend close to the couple has revealed to the media that the split was amicably done and that the former couple has decided to raise their 5 months old daughter together. Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva according to the source, are busy with their own careers.

Mel Gibson’s relationship with Oksana Grigorieva developed while the two met on the sets of “Edge of Darkness”. Mel Gibson divorced his first wife of thirty years last year after three years of separation. His divorce with his wife was also amicable and they issued a joint statement in which they declared that they will continue to maintain the integrity and privacy of their family as they have done always. The source has revealed to the media recently that neither of the couple had dumped the other in the recent breakup and that the decision to split was taken by both Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva. The source added that the former couple is still friends and that they will take care of Lucia together.

Though the news of the split has spread over the media, none of the persons concerned have confirmed the news. The spokesperson of actor Mel Gibson has declined to comment on the matter. At present, Mel Gibson is busy with the filming of the movie “How I Spent My Summer Vacation” in Mexico. Pianist Oksana Grigorieva is busy with her new music project. A media source has claimed that she is planning to perform a charity concert in Russia.
