June 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Comedian, Chris Rock whose comments on the 1996 Presidential elections earned him an Emmy nomination, revealed that it’s very difficult for him to crack jokes about President Barack Obama.

Rock, who was a staunch Obama supporter during the elections, said that the President is too cool to poke fun at. He added that generally presidents aren’t cool but Obama is perhaps the coolest guy where ever he is and that makes cracking jokes impossible.

Rock started his career by doing stand-up comedy in 1985 in New York City’s Catch a Rising Star. He had small roles in the film I’m Gonna Git You Sucka and the TV series Miami Vice.

He gained recognition as a cast member of Saturday Night Live in 1990. The very next year saw Rock in a dramatic role in the film New Jack City and also the release of his debut comedy album Born Suspect.

His success as a standup comedian fetched him major parts in films which include Lethal Weapon 4, Nurse Betty, The Longest Yard, Bad Company, and a starring role in Down to Earth.

He has often been criticized for his topics that involves family, politics, romance, music, class relationships as well as race relations in America.
