Oasis is finished: Liam Gallagher
October 9th, 2009 - 3:03 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, October 09 (ANI): ‘Oasis’ frontman Liam Gallagher has finally broken his silence on his brother Noel’s exit from the group and said that the band has ended.
“Well, Oasis is no longer. I think we all know that. So that’s done. It’s a shame, but that’s life. We had a good run at it,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
However, the rocker does not feel that any one individual from the band is responsible for the band’s end.
He said: “The thing about Oasis is no-one… we ended Oasis. No-one ended it for us. Which was pretty, kind of… cool. I’m thinking of what the next step is musically, which is all my mind’s on.”
Liam believes that his estranged brother will still be able to sell his own records.
He added: “People will be able to buy his records. People will be able to buy our records. So everyone’s happy.”
Noel had quit ‘Oasis’ earlier this year alleging that he was insulted within the band.
Also, Liam had walked away as the band prepared to go onstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, France in August. (ANI)
