Kolkata, June 26 (IANS) Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who has done an item number in his ready-to-release adult comedy “Delhi Belly”, says the time for Bollywood item girls is over.
“As far as the item dance done by me is concerned, it is a warning to Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone that the era of item girls is over… now it’s time for item boys,” Aamir said Saturday at a promotional event of “Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti”, the Bengali version of “Kaun Banege Crorepati”, being broadcast on Mahuaa Bangla.
Aamir pays tribute to the disco era of Indian cinema of the 1980s.
“It is a tribute to the disco era of the 80s led by Bappida (Bappi Lahiri), Mithunda (Minthun Chakraborty) who was known as disco king and Govinda,” he said.
