London, May 17 (IANS) Hollywood legend Sir Anthony Hopkins is teaming up with director Ridley Scott again to bring infamous villain Hannibal Lecter back on the big screen in a fourth installment of the film.
The actor will reprise his role as a cannibalistic serial killer for the fourth time in a second sequel to the 1991 hit film “The Silence of the Lambs”, for which he won a Best Actor Oscar, reports Hollywood.com.
Hopkins earlier appeared in 2001’s Hannibal before starring in the 2002 prequel of the same “Red Dragon”.
Actress Cate Blanchett has been tipped to star in the film for the role of Clarice Starling after Jodie Foster, who earlier played the character pulled out due to other professional commitments.
“Hopkins and Scott are both very committed. We like what we’ve got, and the revised script is really, really good,” said a spokesperson of the movie’s production house Universal.

The Hannibal story is not true. It is 8 years old. The gossip version making the rounds has been discredited and denied by all mentioned.
