Now a biopic on Jimi Hendrix
August 21st, 2009 - 12:23 am ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 20 (IANS) Hollywood bosses are making a movie about the life of guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.
Studios have been alerted for the star’s story by the 40th anniversary of the Woodstock Festival in New York.
According to Daily Variety, Max Borenstein is writing a screenplay, which will then have to be approved by the rocker’s estate.
It’s not the first time a Hendrix movie has been considered since the star died in 1970. Lenny Kravitz and Andre Benjamin have headlined previous planned projects that failed to win approval from Experience Hendrix, which is run by the guitarist’s sister.
