The film stars the two well known actors John Corbett and Sam Elliott, as the parents of Vanessa, played by Emily Alyn Lind, who is charged with high spirit and determination, despite suffering from cancer at the tender age of 8. Her life revolves around visiting the hospital and getting treated for her disease. Her parents decide to give her a cheerful year-end holiday celebration, much before the actual Christmas, with the help of their warm neighbors. Slowly, with a domino effect, almost every one in the community get involved with the plan and decide to help the kid for the special Christmas holiday.

The movie is so well scripted that it can touch the emotional chord of several people with its storyline and theme.
