Cannes, May 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Noted actor and director Woody Allen was present at the premiere of his movie ‘You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger’ at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Even though the movie which has a stellar cast, has not risen to expectations totally, yet that wasn’t enough to desist Woody Allen from being at his wittiest best.
He met the media at the press conference and replied with his tongue-in-cheek sense of humor to all the questions that were posed to him. He was asked about his old age, and how it feels to be an old man. He replied with a straight face that, old age is a lousy deal, which has no benefits. He also candidly added that being older doesn’t mean that one is wiser or smarter. In fact, he termed it as ‘a grim enterprise’ and also suggested that it would be beneficial for people, if they can avoid old age at all costs.
His latest flick - ‘You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger’ stars Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts, Antonio Banderas and it also marks the debut of Frieda Pinto in a Woody Allen movie. This is the first time that Pinto is starring in a Woody Allen movie.
