May 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Norwich State Hospital, built in 1904, has a reputation of being a very haunted building. Of course, the condition of the facade contributes a lot to the assumption, as does the history associated with it. Abandoned and dilapidated, it has often been suggested that the building be pulled down, but the state authorities have not taken any such measure, for whatever reason. At present, the entire campus has a reputation of being haunted, with some of the building reporting more paranormal activity than the others. It was to dig into the authenticity of these rumors that the paranormal investigation team of the series Ghost Hunters went to camp in the premises for four days.

The team of Ghost Hunters went to the Norwich State Hospital in order to investigate the truth in the rumors. According to the residents, they have heard many strange noises issuing from the premises of the hospital. For instance, they reported hearing sounds of animals, children playing and moans, and often, blood curdling screams. The building was once a facility for the mentally challenged, as well as those who had been deemed by the law as insane, and had been put there by sentence.

The team from Ghost Hunters reported seeing figures going up the stairs, and also a faint flash of light. They also got to hear a dog barking, and when they went down to the underground Tunnels of the building, they heard conversations and people moaning. Moreover, they also claimed to see something moving in the Tunnel. However, they could not investigate further as the asbestos in the tunnel got worse, and they had to move out for safety reasons.
