Nobody is privileged to replace Kishore da: Asha Bhosle (Movie Snippets)

New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS) Melody queen Asha Bhosle feels there is not a single singer who can fill the void that legendary singer Kishore Kumar left behind after his death in 1987.
“Singers I know, record songs standing up. Kishore da was the only singer I knew who used to sit on a high chair whilst recording a song. After he left us, I had the stool removed from the cabin because I don’t think any one else has earned the privilege to sit in that chair,” Asha posted on micro-blogging website Twitter.
Kishore da, as he was fondly called, sang many duets with Asha, most of which were composed by S.D. Burman. Some of these songs include “Chhod do aanchal”, “Ankhon mein kya ji”, “Haal kaisa hai janaab ka” and “Paanch rupaiya baara aana”.
Asha has been sharing interesting anecdotes about her contemporaries ever since she started social networking. She has recently been nominated in CNN top 20 global music icons.

Sonam Kapoor had a crush on Shaan
Many men like Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, but few know that she had a crush on popular singer Shaan since a long time.
The actress, whose film “Aisha” released Friday, made a special appearance on Star Plus’ reality show “Chhote Ustaad” and was surprised to meet Shaan there. She was even made to sit right next to him and she ended up blushing, said a source from the sets.
“I used to have a big crush on Shaan since the longest time. And I was lucky as I was sitting next to him on the judges table for ‘Chhote Ustaad’,” said Sonam.
Sonam, who is usually seen in international designer labels very much like the character in her upcoming movie “Aisha”, turned up in a sari for the show.
The special episode with Shaan and Sonam will be telecast Saturday.
