No Problems For Genelia Now

June 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): There were rumors that Genelia had participated in the IIFA function held in Colombo, Sri Lanka and consequently would be banned from acting in Tamil films. But Genelia said that she never participated in this event and she had cancelled her Sri Lankan trip. It seems that she was ready to go to Sri Lanka along with some Bollywood actors but was stopped by producer Aascar Ravichandran at the airport.
She has been signed to pair with Vijay in the film Velayudham produced by Aascar Ravichandran. She is also acting with Dhanush in the film titled Utthamaputhiran. There would have been problems for releasing the two films had she gone on to participate in the IIFA. Both the producers had warned her and prevented her from going to Sri Lanka. Genelia had come to Chennai to participate in the photo shoot of Velayudham. Vijay also participated in the shoot which was held at Balu Mahendra’s Studio.
