No live performances for Winehouse after Sept 6, says her fatherJuly 15th, 2008 - 1:56 pm ICT by IANS
London, July 15 (IANS) Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse will take a break from touring Sep 6 to work on her new album, says her father. Winehouse, is suffering from Emphysema and her father Mitch says she needs rest.
Winehouse had earlier collapsed at her home. She had then returned for a few performances, but this took a toll on her health. She has confirmed that she will play at the Isle of Wight soon but then take a break to make a full recovery, thesun.co.uk reports.
Mitch said: “From Sept 6 we are not going to be doing any more work for the forseeable future. Amy will be concentrating on writing for the new album. She has five gigs that she is contractually obliged to do but Amy feels, and I feel, and the record company feels that is enough live performing for the time being. We want her to relax.”
