Washington, Feb 25 (ANI): No Country for Old Men directed by Joel and Ethan Coen and starring Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, and Javier Bardem swept away with the Best Film award at this years Oscars.
The film is an adaptation from the well-received Cormac McCarthy novel of the same name and revolves around the themes of chance and fate and tells the story of a drug deal gone wrong and the ensuing cat-and-mouse drama as three men crisscross each other’s paths in the desert landscape of 1980 West Texas.
Actor Javier Bardem took away supporting actor Oscar for his role in the film, reports Variety.
The film also won Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Directing and Best Picture.
It has also won the Golden Globe Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role and Best Adapted Screenplay. (ANI)
