September 8, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It is certainly a cheerful time for this brooding eyed, lanky actor again, who some have even started to call ’sexy’ post his ‘booty’ show in Raavan. not only is he being touted as a “serious actor” but has also been flooded with offers from most of the “thinking filmmakers”.

And this despite the debacle of “Raavan”.

But the trade considered that Nikhil had the most to benefit from Raavan, as he was singled out for his performance in the big canvas, and has a huge potential ahead. And they all unanimously agree is Nikhil Dwivedi’s performance, which has been called from very good to excellent in all reviews.

May be the series of good reviews that he received for his performance did help after all. Not only that, his next “Shor” with Tusshar Kapoor and Sendhil Rammurthy directed by DK Krishna and Raj has been selected for the PUSAN film festival and is expected to make the rounds of other prestigious festivals too.

Well from the choice of his recent films, we can certainly say that this actor is certainly choosing his projects very differently from the kind of ‘mainstream’ vehicle he arrived in, viz: My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, nearly two years ago.
