Nicole Richie’s probation extended till March 2011

Glendale, Jun 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A judge has extended the probation of socialite Nicole Richie until March 2011. The judge has extended the probation so that she could get some more time, so that she can finish her alcohol education classes, to the complete satisfaction of the court.

The judge had delivered this order on Tuesday in the absence of Nicole Richie. However she was represented in court by her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley.

It ought to be recalled that Nicole was arrested by the police in December 2006. Her offense was that she was driving her black Mercedes-Benz sports utility vehicle on the wrong side of the freeway in Burbank. This action had many witnesses also, so she couldn’t escape being arrested. Later she confessed that she was driving under the influence. She was arrested, but she spent just 82 minutes behind bars.

Nicole Richie gained name and fame when she starred in the TV series ‘The Simple Life.’ The show ran from 2003 to 2007 on two channels the Fox Network and on E!

She is engaged to rocker Joel Madden, who is the lead singer of ‘Good Charlotte’. They also have two children together.
