Nicole Richie’s Probation Extended For One Year

nicoleJune 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nicole Richie’s probation has been extended for one year by the judge of the court as she could not attend the Glendale Superior Court hearing. Also she has not completed her alcohol education program as ordered before.

Nicole Richie’s probation period has now extended to 8 months more, till March 1, 2011 as Jane Robison of the District Attorney’s Office says. The “The Simple Life” famed Nicole Richie was arrested first back in the year 2006 but was pleaded guilty in July 2007 and she went under a drug and alcohol counseling to serve three years on probation as ordered by Superior Court Of California.

Nicole Richie was arrested in 2006 after driving down a Burbank, California freeway. She admitted smoking marijuana and taking Vicodin before driving in that night and she was sent to jail where she served for 82 minutes for the offense.

Nicole Richie’s lawyer, Shaun Chapman Holly told the court that the former reality star could not attend the court because Nicole Richie who is engaged to her long-time boyfriend Joel Madden was very busy attending her new born baby boy, Sparrow who is only 9 months old and her two years old daughter Harlow.

Shaun Chapman Holly also said that Nicole Richie had taken a court approved leave of absence from her her alcohol education classes to raise her two children. However, in spite of that also the judge extended her DUI probation period as she could not complete her classes.

As per the alcohol education reports, Nicole Richie gets high marks and also her attitude is commented as excellent.
