London, Oct 24 (ANI): Socialite Nicole Richie and her partner Joel Madden have inaugurated a new playground in Los Angeles.
The couple created the Richie-Madden Foundation in 2007 to raise money for children’s charities, and the organisation helped fund a new play park in conjunction with Beyond Shelter, which tackles homelessness and poverty.
Richie thanked everyone involved in the project on her Twitter.com page.
“Thank you to everyone who participated in the campaign. We are giving these children a chance to have an imagination & be free,” the Daily Star quoted her as writing.
Madden was honoured for his charity work at the Noble Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills on October 18, picking up the night’s top prize for his dedication to The Art of Elysium, an organisation that helps sick children. (ANI)
