Nicole Kidman sues Brit paper over fragrance claims
December 4th, 2007 - 3:13 pm ICT by adminWashington, Dec 04 (ANI): Moulin Rouge! star Nicole Kidman is suing the Daily Telegraph for putting her position as celebrity spokeswoman for a perfumery at risk.
The Aussie actress is taking the newspaper to court for stating that she preferred Jo Malone’s White Jasmine and Mint scent to Chanel No.5, a product that she is endorsing.
The article in the newspaper stated that Nicole had been “dabbing it on whenever she had a moment” while in the U.K. to promote her new film The Golden Compass.
A statement from law firm Schillings - which is acting on Kidman’s behalf - insists the allegations were “entirely untrue” and “grossly defamatory”.
“We have been instructed to obtain an immediate retraction of such allegations and are taking separate action against the Daily Telegraph,” Contactmusic reported the law firm as stating. (ANI)
