Washington, Jan 11 (ANI): A man who sneaked into Nicolas Cages home and was caught by the actor wearing only a leather jacket has been sentenced to serve time in Orange County Jail after he pleaded guilty to stalking on Jan 10.
In addition to this, Robert Dennis Furo Jr., has been ordered to check into rehab for six months as his lawyer, Jack Kayajanian, described him being in a drug-induced daze when he broke into the Oscar-winning actors house, reports E! Online.
According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Furo’s sentence comprises one-month in lockdown and five months in a residential home.
He has also been ordered to have no direct or indirect contact with the actor and must remain at least 100 yards from Cages family.
The charges of residential burglary and theft have been dropped.
Furo was taken into custody in the early morning hours of Oct. 1 after Cage, who spied the intruder at about 1:30 a.m., escorted him outside and called his gated community’s security detail, according to Newport Beach police. (ANI)
