Nicolas Cage not playing villain in ‘Green Hornet’

Los Angeles, Sep 9 (IANS) After months of will he, won’t he, Nicolas Cage, who was tipped as the villain in Michel Gondry’s “Green Hornet”, has officially declined to play the negative character.
Imdb.com reports a source saying that “the actor and the studio were not able to come to terms on a deal.”
It seems that time was the main constraint for Cage, who has accepted to do director Roger Donaldson’s thriller “Drive Angry and The Hungry Rabbit Jumps” and is also juggling producing and exec producing on a number of other projects.
So now the hunt begins for a new Mr X for “Green Hornet”, which has already started shooting, with Seth Rogen, Jay Chou and Cameron Diaz.
