Los Angeles, Apr 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Nicolas Cage was already in a big financial soup, because of the improper handling of his finances. And now the soup just got murkier, as he was unable to find even a single buyer for his LA mansion. So now the new owner is the foreclosure lender.
His LA mansion was located in the posh neighborhood of Bel-Air, but it didn’t even get a single bidder for the asking price of $10.4 million. The mansion had an area of 11,817 square-foot, and Nicolas Cage tried in vain to sell it for $35 million. Apparently the real estate agents weren’t too impressed with the interiors of the mansion, as one of them even said that, the interior design was “frat house bordello.” Some of the agents even found it bizarre that the mansion was decorated with over 300 framed comic book covers. Besides this, the mansion also had a model train set on tracks in a few rooms, along with an Olympic-sized pool and a home theatre.
It may be recalled that in October 2009, Nicolas Cage had filed the lawsuit against Samuel J. Levin and his firm. “Instead of protecting and preserving Cage’s wealth during one of the greatest economic periods in the country’s history, Levin placed Cage in numerous highly speculative and risky real estate investments, resulting in Cage suffering catastrophic losses,” the lawsuit states.
