Nicki Minaj says no for ‘X Factor’
March 25th, 2011 - 1:10 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Mar 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Just days after reports surfaced that Nicki Minaj is in talks with X Factor executives to be on the show, TMZ has reported that the report is not true.
In the earlier report carried by the New York Post, Minaj was said to be in talks with Simon Cowell for a role on the show as a judge. The report quoted a source that it claimed was close to the show as saying that, “This isn’t a done deal yet, but Nicki would be great for the show. She fits the idea that ‘X Factor’ will be exciting, vibrant and different. And the show would also be great for her career.”
That has turned out to be false. According to TMZ, the report is news to Minaj as well. TMZ claimed that there is no deal in place to get Minaj on the show. The TMZ report quoted a person close to Minaj as saying that there is nothing going on.
Simon Cowell in a way fanned the various rumors surrounding who is going to be on the show when he gave an interview recently. Cowell suggested that most of the names that are rumored on the Internet actually come from his office.
