Los Angeles, Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jonas Brothers singer Nick Jonas has reportedly been handed a role in the ABC hit show “Last Man Standing.” Reports say Jonas will be the father of Mike Baxter’s grandson. The child has not seen his father since he was born. Baxter’s daughter has raised the child so far.

ET Online reports that Jonas will make his first appearance on the show on the special episode which will be aired this Christmas. Jonas’ character is the most sought after in the show. It has been the subject of several jokes since the show started. The child has been raised by his mother so far. His role will be a guest one but the option is opened for a permanent one depending on how it goes.

Reports say Jonas’ character will be unemployed and unable to support Kristen (Baxter’s daughter) and the child. The maiden season of The Last Man Standing will determine if ABC will order subsequent seasons.

The show reportedly premiered with 5 million viewers. ABC has ordered the full season of the show.

The last television show of Jonas was in the show “Mr. Sunshine.” The show was axed because of poor ratings.
