Nick Jonas to make West End debut with ‘Les Miserables’
May 30th, 2010 - 4:47 pm ICT by ANILondon, May 30 (ANI): ‘The Jonas Brothers’ member Nick Jonas is overjoyed at the prospect of making his debut in London’s West End with ‘Les Miserables’.
Jonas, who performed on the New York stage in the theatre adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel in 2003, will be playing the role of Marius.
The pop star had kicked off his career on Broadway, performing in a number of productions as a child, before becoming a singer.
Theatre producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh confirmed Jonas’ inclusion in the cast for the musical, the Daily Express reported.
“I am so excited to announce that I will be performing in Les Misérables once again!” Jonas Tweeted.
He added: “When I was ten years old I was in Les Misérables as Gavroche. On my closing night in 2003 I told my parents that I would come back to be Marius one day. It is truly a dream come true.
“More details will be coming soon. Can’t wait to see the fans who make it out to the show! Love you all. Special thanks to Cameron for this amazing opportunity. ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ and they seem to be coming true.” (ANI)
