Dec 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) With Christmas just round the corner, it is but natural for everyone to rejoice in the festive spirits and welcome the holiday season with much galore. For the U.S. first family, the scenario is no different as President Barack Obama and his family ring in the festivities with the ‘Christmas in Washington’ concert that was held on Sunday night. The gala bash turned out to be a star-studded event and one of the stars who has attracted the maximum eye-balls is none other than singer Mariah Carey who brought the house down with a beautiful rendition while her baby bump was neatly tied with a bow on her long red gown.

With pictures of the gala bash emerging on the web, it does not come as a surprise that speculations are the pregnancy status of the 40-year-old songstress is abuzz. earlier this year, Mariah Carey had made the announcement that she is expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon next year during spring. However, recently rumors were ripe that the “Honey” singer and her rapper/actor husband’s joy is going to be double as she was expecting twins.

However, in a recent interview, Nick Cannon has set the records straight that they are looking forward to the birth of their first child while refuting rumors that his singer wife was expecting twins. While talking to a reputed magazine, Nick Cannon added that the speculations were sparked when during an interview, Mariah Carey referred to the child as ‘they’ as they wanted to use a gender neutral term but never suggested that they were having twins.
