Nicholas Cage to pay $14m in back taxes
January 17th, 2010 - 4:50 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Jan 17 (ANI): Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage owes 14million dollars to the US government in back taxes. And with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) placing a tax lien on his real-estate holdings, including additional 6.7million dollars from 2008, Cage, 46, is all the more resolute to get his finances in order.
He said, “over the course of my career I have paid at least 70 million dollars in taxes, unfortunately, due to a recent legal situation, another approximate 14 million dollars is owed to the IRS,” reports People mag.
Cage added: “However, I am under new business management and am happy to say that I am current for 2009, all taxes will be paid including any to be determined state taxes.” (ANI)
