Nicholas Cage Resolved To Clear His Tax Dues With IRS

Jan 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems that some Hollywood celebrates have a penchant for hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons. The latest actor to join the bandwagon of celebrities hogging the spotlight for controversy and other problems is Nicholas Cage. The academy award winning actor got embroiled in a controversy owing to some objectionable scenes and dialogues in his film ‘Kick Ass’ a few days back. Even before the brouhaha over the film could die down, a fresh issue has erupted that has put the media glare on the actor. He has got entangled in a tax payment related dispute with IRS and this is not his first such problem.
The actor has broken his silence on the issue so that the media does not get a chance to blow things out of proportion. In a latest statement he has revealed that he will have to pay an amount of $14 million to the government of USA. In the recent past the star got embroiled in a number of tax controversies. According to the news available from reliable sources, Nicholas Cage is facing unpaid tax claims for what he earned a few years back. In October last year, the actor was accused of defaulting on a loan worth $2 million.
The actor has said that he is resolved to clear all the pending tax as fast as possible. He is busy sorting out the financial issues with Samuel Levin, his former business manager. He needs to clear the dues before March this year. It will be the time when his new film ‘Season of the Witch’ will be hitting the theaters.
