Sep 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Glenn Beck the popular conservative talk show host has joined the long list of executives who are venturing into the vast world of web media. On Monday, Glenn Beck launched a news oriented website named “The Blaze” which would be covering daily breaking news. “The Blaze” is a project of Glenn Beck’s company Mercury and will be headed by managing director Scott Baker of “The B-Cast” fame. Glenn Beck mentioned to media sources that people visiting the website “The Blaze” can discover breaking news. The former FOX host holds that the website will provide truthful opinion on matters of concern and provide unique reporting and engrossing videos on Current events and stories.
In a statement, Glenn Beck held that people like him will like the new news website. He held that it is hard to gauge the reality from the current running newspapers and news sources which he implied provide biased news reports. He mentioned that reading such reports is only “an exercise in exasperation”. However, “The Blaze” according to him will be different. It would be a place where folks can find “breaking news, original reporting, insightful opinions, and engaging videos about the stories that matter most”.
However, the latest venture of Glenn Beck has already received criticisms from political bloggers who have questioned the claims made by Glenn Beck. Blogger Shel Horowitz maintained in his blog post that the juxtaposition of “Glenn Beck” and “honest source of information” in one sentence is scary. The blogger has pointed in his post some alleged biased reporting by the “The Blaze” to falsify the claims made by its owner.
