Glenn Beck September 1, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The erstwhile Fox show host Glenn Beck has launched a new website called ‘The Blaze’. This shows that he is serious about trying to turn the 90,000 strong crowd of supporters who attended his rally to his advantage. The ‘Restoring Honor’ rally had been held on the 28th of August.

The television and radio host enjoys immense popularity and is reported to have earned $32 million last year. ‘The Blaze’ is going to be a news based website which will feature interesting news and events that took place at his rally.

He had not been too happy with the press coverage of his rally and decided to launch his own web site. The Internet resource is also likely to make him richer by a few million additional dollars as well. He indicated that he wanted to give coverage to his own rally in his own way and not according to the perception of the media.

‘The Blaze’ is supposed to be a news portal which will highlight both information as well as opinions. He called it as a place for ‘breaking news, insightful opinions and engaging videos’. Beck is also rather famous for his blunt political opinions and his website is expected to include a forum which will give real stories and similar opinions.

He says that the name and image of ‘The Blaze’ is both strong and powerful. He adds that he wants to project the truth as it is as a burning truth instead of providing twisted facts to the general public of the country. The online portal will be edited by Scott Baker who has been associated with the Breitbart TV before.
