Jan 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Television news anchor Monica Malpass is herself hitting headlines lately as the popular anchor announced on her show ‘Action News’ that is she pregnant and is expecting her second child. The much acclaimed news anchor declared her pregnancy recently on her news program as it was about to conclude. However, the 48 year old anchor did not divulge any details on air regarding who was the father of her yet to be born.

Sources have revealed that the news anchor is expecting twins and the baby is set to arrive in the month of June. However, these details were not validated by Monica Malpass on the news program.

The much acclaimed news anchor has a 9 year old son Jake with her ex-husband David Cutler, who is known to be a real estate developer. Meanwhile, Monica Malpass was involved in a relationship with Eastern Auto Parts owner Steve Thorne. However, in the month of October last year, the couple separated after they ended their four month engagement. Sources claimed that the reason for the split was reported to be the couple’s disagreement over having children. Reportedly, Steve Thorne did not want to have more children but the anchor has expressed her desire to have more tots.

Monica Malpass has been associated with WPVI-TV/Channel 6 since January 1988 and has earlier worked for numerous other channels during her career. In her illustrious journalistic career, Monica Malpass is known to have covered many significant events such as American presidential elections, Princess Diana’s funeral, 2005 Eagles’ Superbowl game, among others. Her extensive coverage of the important world events has enabled Monica Malpass to make a mark for herself in electronic journalism.
