New York street fashion enters India with Eucko Unltd

New Delhi, Aug 12 (IANS) Loose jeans, jackets, bandanas with tattoo prints - the street smart fashion of New York will now be seen in country with the launch of international brand Eucko Unltd in the capital.
The brand that opened its first store here in collaboration with Spencer’s Retail Limited targets the 15-25 years age group.
“The tie up with Mark Ecko is a step to take fashion on next level. This is in line with our commitment to offer international fashion to the country,” said K. Dashrathraman, president of Speciality Retail, Spencer’s Retail Limited.
Actress Dia Mirza, who calls herself a fashion freak, was here to launch the store Wednesday.
“I believe Marck Ecko is a classic brand. I am a fashion freak and completely updated on global trends. Marck Ecko is a preffered brand across the globe amongst movie stars, rapper, musician and artists. I have always been fond of Ecko unlimited collection and am thrilled that I will have access to my favourite brand, right here in India,” said Dia at DLF Promanade, Vasant Kunj.
Asked about her style statement, Dia told IANS: “Style for me is quintessentially persona driven. It’s about who you are as a person. I do wear a lot of brands but I’m not a whole-sole brand believer.”
The actress finds it hard to name one favourite designer.
“It’s not only unfair but impossible to name a single designer because there is so much talent within the country and abroad. Basically I enjoy wearing a lot of Indian designers. I like Gauri-Nainika, Shantanu-Nikhil, Rocky S, Manish Malhotra - because the range of the garments they offer are different and unique,” she added.
