New Moon review Los Angeles, Nov 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The movie ‘New Moon’ is directed by Chris Weitz who has delivered a visual treat, which is an artistic expression on love, longing and lost. New Moon can’t be said to be perfect but it does deliver what it promises and that too with an artistic touch and savvy flourish.

New Moon explores the eternal theme of the first love and the associated vulnerability with it and the desperation that comes with caring about someone more than you could possibly care about yourself. This particular emotion has been shown with maximum effect in the movie. The director Chris Weitz has very capably shown the lovers desperation and longing, and he balances well the feelings of suffocation and giddiness that come with the realization juxtaposed with the awful dread of losing it.

Bella has delivered a fine performance and she emotes beautifully in the distraught scenes. Along with the beautiful acting done by the lead actors and the balance provided by the screen-play adapted from the famous book, the film has some real moments of beauty too, like a crow flying at a third the speed of a vampire running, delightful overhead camera work showing off gorgeous visual spectacle.

Overall the movie is quiet a tremendous spectacle to watch, the dialogues are crisp, the acting is fine, the camera work is a visual treat to watch and it is worth a one-time watch.

Daktoa Fanning plays quiet an evil role in this movie, which is quiet contrary to her innocent face and gait.
