New MJ CD under threat as family claims impostor sang songs

London, Oct 30 (ANI): A new CD of late King of Pop Michael Jackson is under threat after his family claimed that some of the songs had been sung by an impostor.
Jackson’s furious relatives objected to the album, which was set to trigger a Christmas sales bonanza, and their claim could now delay release of the CD, which is the first to have unreleased material of the singer.
The wrangle could complicate a 125 million pound deal between music giant Sony and the singer’s estate.
“With so many rivals wanting control of Michael’s legacy a new album was never going to be easy,” the Sun quoted a Jackson source as saying.
“Sony wants this ironed out quickly. If they get this out for Christmas it will sell boatloads,” the source added.
Roger Friedman, who is an expert on Jackson, said family members are particularly unhappy about several songs recorded by friends of the Thriller star in 2007.
A forensic audiologist has also been asked to test whether the vocals are the singer’s. (ANI)
