Rachana Parulkar who debuted on the small screen with Sphere Origin’s ‘Saat Phere’ as Saawri has been out of limelight ever since the show went off air. If you have been guessing what the actor is up to these days, then there’s some scoop for you. If grapevines are to believed, Rachana is planning a comeback.

A source close to the actor says, “Rachana was waiting for a good offer to come her way and finally she has got what she wanted. She has signed up for a family drama, which will be very different from other shows in the genre”

What’s more, Rachana’s latest venture is touted to be a love story too. Elaborating further, the source adds “The show will revolve around a love story but it will deal with love from a new perspective. The storyline will focus on four couples, who despite being entirely different from each other will fall in love. The series will track the journey of their lives henceforth and how they cope with the hindrances and challenges that come their way. The main idea is to highlight the problem that occurs when people with clashing attitudes fall for each other, for instance a snobbish guy falling for a simple girl and vice versa,” says the source.

However, the name of the channel is yet to be decided. “Though the show will be aired on a major GEC, the name hasn’t been finalised till now. The production house is still holding talks with various GECs,” reveals the source.

Rachana was, however, unavailable for comments. Looks like the actor has already started keeping busy with the preparations for her new role and we can’t blame her for that considering the tough competition among telly actors.
