Washington, Jan 31 (ANI): Kung Fu Panda director John Stevenson has been roped in to helm Warner Brothers” He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe.
The director’’s involvement has laid to rest speculation that the studio had axed the long-discussed project.
The studio is to create a live action version of the cartoon hero series in collaboration with action filmmaker Joel Silver and Stevenson, reports Contactmusic.
Masters of the Universe will tell the story of a prince who transforms into a warrior to challenge the villainous Skeletor and save his magical land.
However, its not the first He-Man outing on the big screen.
Dolph Lundgren played the hero in a 1987 movie, opposite Frank Langella as Skeletor.
However, its still unknown who”ll take the lead role in the new adaptation. (ANI)
