July 16, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The new film from the Disney will reveal Elizabeth Banks in a new avatar. The sweet and playful fairy from the fairy tale ‘Peter Pan’ might be a perfect fit for Elizabeth.

The movie ‘Tink’ will have her play the role of a real fairy replete with a wand and wings. The film is supposed to be light romantic comedy. Liz, as Elizabeth is called fondly, has played a variety of parts depicting every kind of character conceivable. Her roles extend from the innocent to the seductively sultry siren but playing a fairy is undoubtedly going to be a high point of her career.

Her looks are startlingly pixie like and she has the mischievous element which goes so well with the character of Tinker Bell. Her playful side is likely to be highlighted by the producers of Tink. She had successfully portrayed the characters in ‘The 40 year old Virgin’ as well as in ‘Zack and Miri make a Promo’ She has proved her mettle in all these movies by being both entertaining as well as enticingly funny.

The movie, Tink, seems to have quite a group of producers in Adam Shankman, McG and Jennifer Gibgot. Adams has had the experience of working with Liz in ‘Hairspray’ and ’17 again’ while McG had been the producer of ‘Supernatural’

Remakes by Disney have not always been successful but we are certainly hoping for the best. News about production beginning or of the release have not yet been divulged by the makers of the film.
